Chicken Curry for beginners is what i must say about this recipe,with minimal ingredients and no difficult techniques. This one is just Simple delicious and easy to make.
PREP TIME: 15 MINS COOKING TIME: 20 MINS LEVEL: EASY
- Chicken 300 grams
- Onions 1 chopped or sliced
- Tomato 1 chopped
- Ginger & Garlic 1 tsp each
- Green chilly 1-2 nos
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Chicken masala 1 tbsp to 2 tbsp [homemade or store bought]
- Coconut milk 1/2 cup
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves handful
METHOD
- Wash and clean the chicken, marinate with salt and turmeric and keep aside for 15 mins
- Heat oil in a cooker, add curry leaves and saute for a min
- Add in ginger and garlic and cook for min
- To that add onions and cook till its slightly brown
- Now add in green chili and tomato and cook till it starts releasing oil from the sides
- Add in the chicken pieces mix well and add red chili, turmeric and chicken masala powder and saute for a min
- Add 1 cup water and close the cooker and cook for 2 whistles
- Once the cooker is opened , add in the coconut milk cook for a min and turn off the stove
- Garnish with curry leaves
Serve hot
