SIMPLE CHICKEN CURRY

Chicken Curry for beginners is what i must say about this recipe,with minimal ingredients and no difficult techniques. This one is just Simple delicious and easy to make.

PREP TIME: 15 MINS  COOKING TIME: 20 MINS   LEVEL: EASY

INGREDIENTS
  1. Chicken 300 grams  
  2. Onions 1 chopped or sliced
  3. Tomato 1 chopped
  4. Ginger & Garlic 1 tsp each
  5. Green chilly 1-2 nos
  6. Chili powder 1 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  8. Chicken masala 1 tbsp to 2 tbsp [homemade or store bought]
  9. Coconut milk 1/2 cup
  10. Oil 1 tbsp
  11. Curry leaves handful
METHOD
  1. Wash and clean the chicken, marinate with salt and turmeric and keep aside for 15 mins
  2. Heat oil in a cooker, add curry leaves and saute for a min
  3. Add in ginger and garlic and cook for min
  4. To that add onions and cook till its slightly brown
  5. Now add in green chili and tomato and cook till it starts releasing oil from the sides
  6. Add in the chicken pieces mix well and add red chili, turmeric and chicken masala powder and saute for a min
  7. Add 1 cup water and close the cooker and cook for 2 whistles
  8. Once the cooker is opened , add in the coconut milk cook for a min and turn off the stove
  9. Garnish with curry leaves
Serve hot
