Evening Snack- chicken puff

Chicken Puff
Ingredients
To Make Puff Sheets
  • Maida
  • Oil
  • Butter
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Egg for eagg washing
For Filling
  • Chicken boneless
  • Onion- finely chopped
  • Tomato- finely chopped
  • Green chilly
  • Ginger
  • Turmeric powder
  • Red chilly powder
  • Pepper powder
  • Coriander leafs
  • Oil
  • Water
( Here I am not giving any measurements as u can take according to the quantity u prepare)

Method:   To make puff sheets,
  • First make a dough by kneading maida water and salt
  • Make a smooth dough as u make for chapati
  • Keep aside for 10 to 15 mins
  • Then roll the dough completely in a rectangular shape
  • Soften the butter
  • Place the butter on top of the rolled dough and fold according to the below shown picture 

  • After folding the dough roll it again into a very thin sheet
  • And then repeat the folding process
  • Keep the folded dough in the fridge for 20min
  • Again take the dough out roll it and repeat the folding process and refrigerate again for 20 min
  • Continue the same process 4 times
  • Remove from the fridge roll it in to thin sheets 
  • Cut the sheets as shown below
And Now puff sheet is ready to use


Filling
  • Cut the chicken into small pieces
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add tomato and sauté it for 2 to 3 min
  • To that add onion, green chilly, ginger and sauté it
  • Add chilly powder, turmeric pepper , pepper powder and salt 
  • Sauté it for 3min
  • To that add the chicken mix well
  • Let it cook for 15min
  • Masala should be thick
  • Once it is done add chopped coriander leafs.


How to Fill:
  • Cut the sheet 
  • Put the filling in the middle of the sheet
  • Now close from the other side
  • Press the sides with water to close ( can use fork edge also to close)
Egg wash:
  • Now we have to do egg wash on top of it
  • Beat one egg brush it over the dough ( brown color over the puff is got by this)
  • Now keep this in fridge for 15 min
  • After 15mins we can bake it 
Baking:
  • Preheat the oven at 175c  for 10min
  • Bake it for10 to 15min

  • Yummy puffs is ready
  • Severe it with ketchep
