Cauliflower and Potato Sabzi

Here is the Recipe:

Cauliflower And Potato Sabzi

Ingredients           

    • Cauliflower
    • Potato ( 2 large)
    • Onion
    • Kasthuri methi ( little)
    • Chilly powder (1tsp)
    • Turmeric powder(1/2 tsp)
    • Coriander powder(1/2tsp)
    • Salt to taste 
    • Oil (1 tbsp)
    • Mustard seeds
    • Asafoetida ( kayam) a pinch
    • Grated coconut( optional)


    Method
       
    • Wash and clean cauliflower, cut it into small pieces.
    • Cut the potato  in small squares.
    • Take a pan put oil ,to that add mustard seeds let it pops.
    • Once mustard is done, add onion and saute for 2 min then add cauliflower and potato
    • Stir properly
    • To this add chilly powder, turmeric powder, coariander powder and salt to taste.
    • Stirr once again throughly 
    • Lower the flame to minimum and close with a lid
    • Let cook in lower flame
    • Do not add water
    • Every 3min stirr the vegetables 
    • Let it cook for 10 min
    • Once it is done add kasthuri methi to it and stirr.
    • Cook it  for 2 min,,at this stage u can add little grated coconut also
    • Garnish with curry leaves
    Severe Hot with Rice, Chapathi.

    Gobi Manchurian

    Ingredients:

    • Cauliflower ( small florets) one cup

    For frying:
    • Rice flour ( 2 tbsp)
    • All purposeflour (1 tbsp)
    • Conflour (1 tbsp)
    • Chilly powder (1 tsp)
    • Turmeric ( a pinch)
    • Salt to taste.
    • Oil as required
    • Water as required                                                                                                      
    For gravy:
    • Onion finelly chopped( 1 cup)
    • Ginger finnely choped
    • Garlic finely chopped.
    • Tomato sauce( 1 cup)
    • Soya sauce( 1 tbsp)
    • Chilly sauce( 2 tsp)
    • Capsicum( 1/2 cusp)
    • Coriander for garnishing.....
    Method:
    • First mix rice flour,all purpose flour,cornflour along with chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt in a bowl by adding water to a smooth thick paste
    • Add cauliflower to the mix 
    • keep aside for 15 min..
    • Fry the cauliflower and keep aside.
    • Now with same oil add ginger , garlic, onion and saute it for 3min
    • Add capsicum and saute it for 2min
    • To that add all the sauce and stirr it
    • Close  the lid lower the flame 
    • Let it cook for 5 min.
    • Then to that add fried cauliflower to it.
    • Mix well garnish with coriander leafs.



    Manchurian is ready
    Serve hot hot for tea or as a starter.

    Tips For cleaning cauliflower:
    • Add  2 Tbsp salt per quart warm water 
    •  Submerge the head, florets down (they float, so a weight to keep it submerged will help). 
    • Let sit 5-10 minutes, remove, rinse.
