Prawns thoran is semi fried prawns in shredded coconut
This is a side dish it goes really well with rice
INGREDIENTS
- FOR MARINATION: MARINATE PRAWNS WITH RED CHILI POWDER TURMERIC AND SALT FOR 20 MINS.
- Prawns 300 grams washed cleaned and deveined
- Shredded coconut 1/4 cup
- Onions 1 small chopped
- Green chilies 2 nos finely chopped
- Ginger and Garlic 1 tsp chopped
- Pepper 1 tbsp
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves handful
- Coconut oil 1 tbsp
METHOD
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add chopped onions . ginger , garlic and green chilies and saute till raw smell goes
- To that add prawns and cook for 3 to 4 mins
- Now add the masala and cook on low flame till its done
- Finally add the coconut , mix well and roast everything on low flame for 5 mins
- Finally garnish with curry leaves
- Serve hot
